What Beyonce Could Have Worn to the Grammy Awards

A 101 fashion merchandising major would styled Beyonce in this black and white dress by Oscar de la Renta.

Beyoncé looked sophisticated in a black and white Osman geometric jumpsuit last night at the 55th Grammy Awards, but shocked viewers by not wearing a lavish gown or even a dress.

Although the pant suit was flattering to Beyoncé’s adored curvy figure, many expected Beyoncé to dazzle onlookers in a designer gown after performing in outfits by favorite designers Rubin Singer at the Super Bowl XLVII and Emilio Pucci at the Inauguration.

Sticking to the CBS dress code, urging celebrities to cover up and avoid over exposed ensembles, Beyoncé would have looked amazing in a gown from the Spring 2013 Oscar de le Renta collection. The sophisticated black and white grown is designed to reveal a suitable amount of leg with a thigh-high slit.

In addition to presenting an award, Beyoncé won Best Traditional R&B Performance for “Love on Top.” It is undeniable to say that she is starting off 2013 right. Singing at the Inauguration, posing for both Vogue and GQ, performing for Super Bowl XLVII and preparing for The Mrs. Carter World Tour all in the past month shows that Beyoncé is setting her goals high this year.
