Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner will no longer be seated behind Nicki Minaj at the 2018 Video Music Awards tonight. They will instead be seated by Cardi B, according to TMZ.
If you’ve been keeping up with your social media timelines lately, it was impossible to miss Nicki Minaj’s recent Internet showdowns with DJ Dream as well as her ex-boyfriend, Safaree. Nicki’s rants continue on and intensify, now bringing Travis Scott and Kylie Jenner in the middle of the drama revolving around her sales and chart numbers for her latest album, Queen.
Nicki blasted Scott last night for being cheated out of her top spot on the Billboard chart. In her series of tweets, Nicki suggested Scott’s success on the Billboard charts with his new album, Astroworld, is attributed to his relationship with Kylie Jenner and their child, Stormi.
The seating change is not related to any fear of retaliation from the tweet, TMZ said. It’s related to “bad optics” and that Travis should not have to sit behind Nicki when he has the top album.
The VMAs are for sure to get interesting tonight. Tune into MTV at 8 p.m. EST to find out.
